Harness hardware
Slides forward when you want it to, holds when the tank pulls on it.
As a sidemount cylinder empties it gets buoyant, and the D-ring position that was right at the start is wrong by the end. Serrated sliders solve half the problem — they hold, but adjusting one mid-dive means fighting it.
This one uses a threaded buckle instead of teeth. The D-ring sits between the buckle and the webbing: push it forward and it moves freely, but pull on the D-ring and it wedges against the webbing and locks. So you can trim the position with one hand as the dive goes on, and a buoyant cylinder can't drag it up the harness on its own.
